There is life out there – tons of it. In fact that question is tantamount to an ant on an anthill wondering if there is life out there – just before being crushed beneath the boot of a road construction foreman directing a bulldozer.

This is the precarious situation we find ourselves in and the boot about to come down on us in the form of a large “Collector Ship” about to remove humans from Earth.

The story begins as I team up with the attractive young “Professor Espree” who has been the subject of my infatuation for the past few semesters at Stanford. As the inhabitants of Earth collapse around me from a paralyzing gas used by the alien invaders, Professor Espree gives me an antidote and asks me to come with her to her office. From there I will embark upon an incredible journey through the universe and into my past.
